Britney Spears looks unrecognizable in a flannel shirt and glasses as she reveals ‘what I look like on a daily basis’
Standing beside a ladder, Britney was seen in a pink and white plaid shirt and glasses as she tried to change a bulb at her Thousand Oaks home.
She teamed the look with grey Birkenstock sandals and her long blonde flowed in messy waves over her chest.
Britney posed with her hands on her hips and told her 26.5m followers: "Instagram versus Reality !!!!
"I can get insecure when photos are taken of me that I’m not prepared for.
She continued: "So I have always put so much effort into my appearance … but you know sometimes it's nice to not try so hard and pull down your walls every now and then !!!! It takes a lot of strength to do that."
She also explained the ladder, writing, "in these pics ... I was trying to fix a light but realized I was too short."
Britney's boyfriend Sam Asghari recently defended the singer after a fan criticized her Instagram account as "too scary".
Sam hit back at the user, writing, "what’s so scary about being the biggest superstar in the world being herself (authentic, funny, humble) without caring what others think...."
He added: "We need more people like her and fewer Karens. Also, Instagram installed this button that you can hit to unfollow about 10 years ago…"
Sam's response - which was quickly shared by Britney's loyal fans - came after one user said the singer's posts had "finally got too scary for me".
Last week, Britney took to Instagram to discuss the pressures of growing up with fame.
She wrote: “For the first time in my life I’m going without lots and lots of makeup !!!!!!
"These clips show a closer look at my face….which is very scary for me…you can actually see my freckles!!!!”
“Growing up in Hollywood can be hard !!!! It’s all about looks….and the press can be pretty mean…..' why does she look so old’… ‘why does she look so young’…' why is she too big’…’ why is she too skinny’ ?!?!!!!"
Britney's honest post comes amid her latest attempt to remove her father Jamie as her conservator. The singer has now nominated a trusted company to oversee her finances, after stating she wants a "qualified corporate fiduciary" to serve as executor of her estate.
