The rumors are true: Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have welcomed a baby girl, their first child together. Although TMZ reported that their daughter, Willa, was born on July 22 in Los Angeles, representatives for the couple have yet to confirm any details. Including the name.
They have confirmed, however, how the new parents are feeling. “Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby,” they said in a statement to People.
Although that was all the couple officially had to say, more sources have shared that the Game of Thrones actor and her pop star husband are “over the moon” and “can’t stop gloating.”
“Joe and Sophie welcomed a baby girl last Wednesday in L.A. and are over the moon,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition. The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends. With the pandemic, Joe and Sophie have been very cautious about who is around them and their little girl.”
If TMZ can be trusted, Willa Jonas was born a little over a year after the couple’s Las Vegas wedding in May 2019. They also held a more official ceremony in France. “I was fully preparing myself to be single for the rest of my life,” Turner told Rolling Stone just a couple of months before the wedding. “I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know. I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know—I’ve met enough girls to know. I don’t feel 22. I feel like 27, 28.”
Before baby Willa, Jonas and Turner have been spending quarantine performing DJ sets, doing Jonas’s makeup, and taking part in a celeb-filled Princess Diaries remake. We have a feeling things are about to get a whole lot more hectic and sleepless, but we couldn’t be happier for the happy couple. Congratulations, Joe and Sophie!
