Ariana Grande has been Instagram's most-followed woman for a while, and this week, she achieved a major milestone. The singer is the first woman on Instagram to reach over 200 million followers. Grande now has 200,603,603 people following her. Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez aren't far behind her, with 193 million and 191 million followers, respectively.
Who's the most followed man, and how's he doing? That's Cristiano Ronaldo with 237 million followers. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the second most followed man, with 196 million followers.
Grande's Instagram milestone comes just as the singer celebrates her MTV VMA victories with Lady Gaga and their performance. Grande shared some behind the scene shots on her Instagram yesterday, including one featuring her boyfriend Dalton Gomez. In the galley of images, a photo of them holding hands is the last included.
"thank u so much for having me @ladygaga I love u with all my heart always," Grande wrote. "u were so beyond brilliant tonight. so grateful to have been a part of this with u. & thank u again @mtv. 🖤 :)"
Grande thanked MTV in a previous Instagram for all the network did to create a safe show for its performers amid the coronavirus pandemic. "Thank you to @MTV being so diligent in making this such a safe & healthy experience for all of the performers and crew involved," she wrote shortly before the show aired. "It’s so greatly appreciated and I can’t imagine how difficult it was to figure out! see u all so soon!"
